Three groups offer support for loss of a spouse
Wilton's Visiting Nurse & Hospice of Fairfield County will offer three bereavement support groups this fall to help people cope with loss following the death of a spouse.
One support group will be for those who have suffered the recent loss of a spouse. This group will meet Thursday afternoons from 1:30 until 3, beginning Sept. 20, and will continue through Nov. 8.
The second group will be for younger adults who are grieving the loss of a spouse. This group will meet Monday afternoons from noon until 1:30, beginning Sept. 24 and will continue through Nov. 12.
The third group is for those in need of ongoing bereavement support for the loss of a spouse. This group will meet Monday afternoons from 3 until 4:30, beginning Sept. 24 and continue through Nov. 12.
The groups will be led by the Rev. Karen Judd, an interfaith minister, Reiki master and a grief and bereavement counselor with Visiting Nurse & Hospice of Fairfield County. They will meet at the agency's offices in Suite 114 at the Health and Wellness Center of Norwalk Hospital at i.park, 761 Main Avenue on the Norwalk/ Wilton town line.
