Congregation Beth El will welcome Ita Paskind on Friday, July 24, as the first female rabbi in its 81-year history. Rabbi Paskind is also the first female rabbi to lead a conservative synagogue in Fairfield County.
Wilton’s Alison Sherman is co-chairing a Shabbat service beginning at 7, followed by dessert at 8. The Jewish community is invited to this free event. Dinner will be offered prior to services at 6, at a cost of $30 per adult and $10 per child.
