Teenager charged in Parisot case is extradited to Connecticut

Yesterday two detectives from the Wilton Police Department extradited the teenager charged with second-degree manslaughter in the Nick Parisot case back to Connecticut from California, following the waiver of extradition proceedings.

The juvenile was arrested on Aug. 23, and taken into custody in California by Wilton police detectives and California police officials. The teenager has been held in custody in California since that date.

Nick Parisot died June 13, 2008 when he struck a rope tied across a trail where he was riding his off-road motorcycle. He died of neck trauma.

The accused teenager was processed today at the Wilton Police Department, and will be held without bond per order of the court to the juvenile detention center in Bridgeport.

The teenager is scheduled to be arraigned in Superior Court – Juvenile Matters in Bridgeport on Sept. 20.
