Support for loss of a parent

Wilton’s Visiting Nurse & Hospice of Fairfield County will offer an eight-week bereavement support group to help adults cope with loss following the death of a parent. The group will meet weekly on Thursday evenings from 6 until 7:30 beginning Jan. 22 and continuing through March 12.

“In this support group we will address the range of powerful emotions that are common among adults following the death of a parent including depression, fear, abandonment, remorse, isolation, loneliness and guilt,” said the Rev. Karen Judd, an interfaith minister and grief and bereavement counselor with the nursing agency.

The group will meet at the agency’s offices in Suite 114 at the Health and Wellness Center at 761 Main Avenue (Route 7) on the Norwalk/Wilton town line.

Sign-up is free, but pre-registration is required. Call 203-834-6341, ext. 255.
