The following students from Wilton, have received academic honors, and recognition.

Dean’s List

Christopher Drummond of Wilton, has been named to the Piedmont University Dean's List for the Fall 2021 semester. Dean's List honorees achieve a 3.50 to a 3.99 grade point average.

Piedmont University is located in Demorest, Ga.

Christopher Jones has been named to the Elmira College Dean's List for the Fall 2021 Term. Full-time undergraduate students registered for at least 12 computable credit hours, and earning a term grade point average of a 3.6, or higher at the end of Term I, or Term II at the school, are placed on the Dean's List at the school.

Elmira College is located in Elmira, N.Y.

Dean’s Award for academic excellence

Owen Callahan, a member of the Colgate University Class of 2021, has earned the spring 2021 Dean's Award for Academic Excellence.

Callahan is an Economics major, and a graduate of the Fairfield College Preparatory School in Fairfield.

Matthew Newfield of Wilton, who is Biology major at Colgate University, and, who is a graduate of Wilton High School

Students, who receive a term grade point average of 3.3, or higher while completing at least three courses, earn the spring 2021 Dean's Award for Academic Excellence.

Colgate University is located in Hamilton, N.Y.

Awards

The Belmont University Chapter of Public Relations Student Society of America, PRSSA, and its members have received seven national awards at the society's 2021 International Conference, including Katie McAdams of Wilton.

Belmont PRSSA received the national Dr. F. H. Teahan Outstanding University Service Award, recognizing its members' service including work in Bruin Recruiters, Belmont Ambassadors, Towering Traditions leaders, the Belmont-hosted Presidential Debate, Lambda Pi Eta communication honor society and BOLD.

One Belmont senior, and four recent graduates received the PRSSA National Gold Key Award, recognizing chapter leadership, high academic performance, internship excellence, and professional promise. Honored were Olivia Blumb, who just graduateed this December, and recent alumnae, McAdams, Emily Stembridge, Aliah Tayyun and Lucy Walsh.

The Belmont PRSSA also received a 2021 STAR Chapter Award for meeting 11 criteria of excellence including ethics advocacy, community service, and professional engagement by its members.

Belmont PRSSA is one of only two chapters to receive the honor each year since the award was established in 2009.

PRSSA is a pre-professional society sponsored by the Public Relations Society of America. Belmont PRSSA was chartered in 2005.
