Wilton Troop 20 Boy Scouts Kace Stewart and Sean Carlson recently earned the rank of Eagle Scout and were celebrated for their accomplishment during a court of honor ceremony at Zion’s Hill United Methodist Church on Oct. 21.

Kace renovated Borglum Road Park in southwest Wilton for his Eagle Scout project. Kace devised a new trail network, constructed several benches along the river and built a new footbridge to traverse a stream. Since the original project took place, Kace has returned several times to maintain the trails.

For his Eagle Scout project, Sean constructed a firewood shed for Woodcock Nature Center, which didn’t have a weatherproof storage area, resulting in wet and unusable firewood. The shed Sean built can be found directly behind the nature center’s outdoor pavilion and fireplace, where many children’s programs are conducted throughout the year.

In addition to becoming Eagle Scouts, Kace and Sean were both inducted into the National Eagle Scout Association. They have both been scouts since first grade.
