Stew Leonard’s hosts COVID-19 vaccine clinic in Norwalk

NORWALK — Stew Leonard’s hosted a free COVID-19 vaccination clinic at the flagship store at 100 Westport Ave. Tuesday. Another clinic will be held Wednesday.

The clinics are a partnership with Connecticut’s Department of Public Health and Griffin Hospital in Derby, according to a statement from the local supermarket chain.

The clinics had the capacity to administer about 100 vaccines, but additional doses were available to be delivered as-needed, Griffin Hospital spokesperson Robert O’Mara said Monday.

The clinic was open Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and will be open Wednesday for the same period. No appointments are necessary and walk-ins are welcome, according to the statement.

Second doses of the vaccine will be adminstered at Stew’s on July 8 and 9 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
