SOMERS — State police are looking for a suspect they say robbed a local bank Friday.

State police in Tolland received a bank teller hold-up alarm at the Webster Bank on Main Street around 11:45 a.m. Friday.

Troopers said the suspect was a 5-foot-8 man who weighed approximately 180 pounds and had a medium build. The man was wearing light gray sweatpants, a gray sweatshirt, a baseball cap and a blue surgical face mask, police said.

The suspect demanded money from the teller and fled the scene in a gray Nissan Versa, police said.

No weapon was displayed and no injuries were reported, police said, but the suspect could be armed and dangerous.

Troopers saturated the area, looking for the suspect and vehicle, but no arrest had been made as of Friday evening.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Troop C at 860-896-3200. Anonymous tips can also be made by calling 860-896-3237.
