
BARKHAMSTED — A 55-year-old Massachusetts man was airlifted to the hospital Saturday afternoon following a crash on Route 44/New Hartford Road on Saturday afternoon, according to State Police.
The accident information summary said the man was traveling eastbound when he lost control of his Harley-Davidson motorcycle at 12:22 p.m. “As a result, the operator was ejected from his motorcycle, where he struck the pavement and traveled/slid uncontrolled coming to rest in the eastbound lane,” the report said.
The man was taken via LifeStar helicopter to Hartford Hospital for treatment; there was no immediate update on his condition. The accident remains under investigation.
