This work by Wilton artist Ruth Ipe will be on display at The Space Between, a new exhibition opening at WALA Gallery (Wilson Avenue Loft Artists) on Friday, Nov. 8. The public is invited to an evening reception from 6 to 9, on the second floor of 225 Wilson Avenue in South Norwalk. Nancy McTague-Smith of Wilton will also participate in the show, which deals with the open interpretation of space in representational and abstraction genres. This can mean something as simple as the space between lines, abstraction in two and three dimensional, spatial orientations or the complexities of space found in the linear perspective of a landscape painting. The rest of the weekend offers an opportunity to purchase artwork of all types at the group’s Annual Holiday Open Studios, 11 to 4, on Saturday and Sunday. Information: wilsonavenueloftartists.com.
