Security matters

The Wilton Security Task Force met July 8, and shortly after he arrived, an executive session was called and The Bulletin’s reporter was told to leave.
A press release from the task force said it “remains focused on security issues affecting Wilton schools. Many of the Task Force initial recommendations have been implemented, for example the new more secure entrance to the High School as well as ‘hardening’ of windows in the schools.
“The Task Force continues to evaluate and then with approval, contract for additional physical security enhancements including improved emergency communications both within the schools as well as with Wilton Police.
“The Security Task Force remains focused both on evaluating security measures that will help keep our schools and our children safe in their learning environments and addressing mental health issues that affect a safe school climate.”
