Pumpkins on the way
The grounds of Wilton Historical Society will become a sea of orange as more than 1,000 pumpkins will arrive Sunday, Sept. 27, at 12:30 or thereabouts for the Wilton Kiwanis Club’s inaugural pumpkin sale. The sale will start right after Kiwanians and Key Clubbers (the high school arm of Kiwanis) unload the squash and continue weekdays from noon to 5, and 9 to 5 on weekends through Oct. 31. There will be wide selection of shapes and sizes competitively priced. The sale will benefit local charities supported by Wilton Kiwanis. A few of them include American Home Front, Crop Walk, Mid-Fairfield Child Guidance Center, Wilton Library Association, Stay at Home in Wilton, Trackside Teen Center, and Safe Rides. Holding some early arrivals are, from left, Bud Taylor, Ray Tobiassen, Jeff Turner, and Mike Safko.
