Parenting support group meets in Georgetown

Do you wonder how other parents handle difficult situations with discipline or behavior? Do you ever feel like something isn’t quite right with how your child handles everyday events, but wonder who to talk to? Do find yourself wondering about what’s normal and what’s not?
You are not alone.
NAMI-CAN (National Alliance for the Mentally Ill — Child and Adolescent Network) is a free, grassroots, self-help, private and confidential advocacy support group for parents and caregivers of children and adolescents, under age 18, with behavioral, emotional and mental health concerns.
The local NAMI-CAN support group serving Wilton, Weston, Ridgefield, Redding, and Norwalk is staffed by trained and certified volunteers in the NAMI Southwest Connecticut chapter. All are welcome to attend.
NAMI-CAN meets the fourth Monday of every month. The next meeting is March 23, 10 to 11:30 a.m. in the G&B Cultural Center, 49 New Street, in Georgetown.
