The Chabot Space and Science Center's Friday-night "Hike & Sip" event is the perfect opportunity for some moongazing over drinks and eats. Take a five-mile hike through the Center's redwood forest with an ecologist, then relax on the observation deck with small bites and two complimentary glasses of wine or beer (included in the admission price). There's nothing like a summer block party. This weekend, the Temescal Telegraph Business Improvement District is shutting down two blocks of 40th Street, between Opal and Webster, to fill the streets with music, food, drinks and vendors.
