Newtown police investigate vandalism at Dickinson Park

NEWTOWN — Police are looking for the person, or people, responsible for defacing property at Dickinson Park.

Several complaints from Newtown’s Parks and Recreation Department prompted an investigation into recent acts of vandalism at the park, where police say someone spray-painted graffiti on buildings and bathrooms with the tag name “Moser.”

Featuring tennis, softball and basketball courts, playgrounds, a skate park and more, Dickinson Park off Elm Drive is open to Newtown residents from 9 a.m. until sundown and a permit is required for vehicles to enter, according to the town’s website.

Anyone with information about the vandalism is asked to call Officer Felicia Figol at 203-426-5841.
