NEW HAVEN — Jerald Barber, the Independent Party candidate for the New Haven judge of probate position, picked up some support this week when the Republican Town Committee announced it would cross-endorse him.
Barber, an attorney, is running against endorsed Democratic candidate Americo Carchia. Both are seeking the position now held by incumbent Judge of Probate Clifton Graves Jr., who is retiring.
