Nature center celebrates spring with egg hunt

Woodcock Nature Center will celebrate the change of season with its Spring Celebration and Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 28. The rain date is Sunday March 29.
During this day of family fun, participants will take a hayride down the quarter-mile driveway to the trails to go on an egg-hunting hike. Next, participants may meander over to the scenic pavilion to color collected eggs, whip up some seasonal nature crafts to celebrate the arrival of spring and visit the nature center’s resident animals
The program is recommended for ages 2 to 7, but all are welcome. Bring a basket to hold  eggs and dress for the weather that day — everyone will be outside, drizzle or shine.
The cost is $12 per child for members; $15 per child for non-members. Families must sign up for an arrival time slot: 12-12:30; 12:45-1:15; 1:30-2; 2:15-2:45 and 3-3:30.
Refreshments will be available for purchase. Reservations and non-refundable prepayment are required. Registration closes at noon, March 27.
Woodcock Nature Center is on Deer Run Road. Call the office at 203-762-7280 to register. More information is at woodcocknaturecenter.org.
