Woodcock Nature Center will host a Native American writing program for children in first grade and up on Saturday, May 16, from 1 to 2:30.
Youngsters will learn to play Native American games, meet an animal that was used as a calendar, hike through the beech grove and create their own story using Native American symbols.
Pre-registration is required and closes at noon the previous day. Drop-off is optional. The cost for members is $10 per child and $15 for non-members. To register, call the nature center at 203-762-7280 to register.
