Minks to Sinks welcomes donations

Got an unwanted mink or sink or something else? The Spring Minks to Sinks sale is almost here. After the tents go up on Sunday, more than 175 volunteers will be prepped and ready to take consignments and donations for this popular event.

The sale starts Saturday, May 3, and consignments and donations will be accepted at the Minks to Sinks site at the intersection of School Road and Route 7 on Tuesday, April 29, from 10 to 2, Wednesday, April 30, from 10 to 2 and 4 to 6, and Thursday, May 1, from 10 to 2.

Minks to Sinks enables people to recycle items they have never used or no longer need and turn those goods into cash by consigning or donating them for the sale. It also provides hundreds of shoppers, some who come every year from as far away as Massachusetts, with bargains on new and gently used household items, furniture, luggage, garden tools, kids’ toys, sports equipment, seasonal clothing and of course, minks and sinks.

It also raises money for Family & Children’s Agency, the Norwalk-based nonprofit agency that provides social services to individuals and families in need in the surrounding communities.

The spring sale runs from Saturday, May 3 to Monday May 5. Anyone wishing to consign or donate items is encouraged to visit minkstosinks.info to review the list of items accepted before bringing their merchandise to the tents.

The sale opens at 9 a.m. Saturday, May 3. Bargain days are Sunday, May 4,  from noon to 4, and Monday, May 5 from 9 to noon.
