More than 190 Minks to Sinks volunteers are preparing for the annual Fall Minks to Sinks Sale, opening Saturday, Oct. 3.
Minks to Sinks is Connecticut’s largest outdoor tag sale, offering bargains on new and gently used household items, clothing, garden and sports equipment, bikes, books, artwork, linens, luggage, high-quality collectibles and more.
Before every sale, Minks to Sinks offers in-home consigning for people who want to get a jump-start on cleaning out closets, garages and attics and consign items they no longer need or use.
Anyone with more than 10 items to consign, excluding clothing, can arrange to have Minks to Sinks volunteers come to their home and tag the items to be consigned. The consignor can then drop off the items at the tents the week before the sale.
Unwanted and unused items can be traded in for cash or donated. Minks to Sinks has been enabling people to reuse and recycle merchandise for more than 80 years and the proceeds from the sale benefit the Family & Children’s Agency in Norwalk.
Regular consignments will be held at the Minks to Sinks site, under the big white tents at the intersection of School Road and Route 7 on:
- Tuesday, Sept. 29, from 10 to 2.
- Wednesday, Sept. 30, from 10 to 2 and 4 to 6.
- Thursday, Oct. 1, from 10 to 2.
The first day of the sale will take place Oct. 3, from 9 to 5, followed by bargain days on Sunday, Oct. 4, from noon to 4, and Monday, Oct. 5, from 9 to noon.
To schedule an in-home consignment, call 203-762-0520 between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. before Monday, Sept. 14.
