Power recently went off at Miller Driscoll School, and then came back on shortly thereafter.  Whether the facility's power stays or goes doesn't significantly matter because of the school's back-up generator — which is why it was selected as the town-wide shelter for those in need during Hurricane Sandy.

The shelter can accommodate 150, with cots and food available for all residents who demand its use.

If and when more people arrive, school food-service staff are on hand to deliver meals.
