Lunches with Lynne beckons

A program to encourage citizens to talk candidly about their concerns with First Selectman Lynne Vanderslice could use a boost.

Lunches with Lynne, as the program is called, attracted about 10 citizens each it’s first two sessions at town hall, but the third time was no charm.

“We had only one citizen show up the last time,” Vanderslice told the Board of Selectmen during its meeting Oct. 17.

The show will go on, though. The next installment of Lunches with Lynne will take place Nov. 15,  at noon, in town hall Room B, the same room the selectmen use.

Vanderslice promises those who attend that it will a low-key event, where people can freely express their opinion or ask their questions without a tape recorder running or video camera operating.

There is no shortage of places in town to buy a suitable lunch. Wilton is rich with delis and restaurants.
