Lost driver chokes traffic on Route 7

A traffic stop around 12:30 today, Sept. 18, involving an elderly driver caused some congestion on Route 7 in the area of town hall.
According to police, a stop was initiated to check the well-being of the elderly driver.
The driver pulled over into the parking lot next to Naked Greens restaurant but didn’t see a parking island and drove up onto it.
He tried to get out of the car and police ordered him to remain seated. Several officers arrived on the scene.
Police checked his faculties and after interviewing the driver, they determined he had been lost and did not mean to strike the curb.
The driver complained of minor injuries and was taken to a hospital.
