On the last day of the 2021 legislative session, state Sen. Cathy Osten tried to repay a town that was crucial in her successful, 6-year effort to expand the tribal casinos’ gaming business in Connecticut.
East Windsor, far from Osten’s eastern Connecticut district, will receive $3 million a year if the Sprague Democrat has her way. That town is home to the proposed site of a long-stalled, now delayed $300 million casino that was to be built by the Mashantucket Pequot and Mohegan tribes to pick off customers heading to MGM Springfield.
