Historical society offers new program for students

The Wilton Historical Society encourages history-loving high school students to attend the first Student Historian Program meeting on Thursday, Sept. 24, from 3:30 to 4:30 — pizza included.
During the meeting, led by museum educator Allison Reznik, students will initiate and carry through with original research and hands-on projects.
Student historians will be encouraged to develop projects for class, research and create tours, search for information about historic events and objects, and contribute to the historical society’s online and social media accounts. The group will meet monthly.
Student historians will also help the historical society as volunteers with activities and events, such as the American Artisan Show, the Great Trains Exhibit and Barn Raising Day.
