Government shutdown closes Weir Farm
The Weir Farm National Historic Site at 735 Nod Hill Road in Wilton is closed due to the federal government shutdown that began Saturday, Dec. 22, at 12:01 a.m.
The Weir Farm National Historic Site is the only National Park Service site dedicated to American painting. The Weir House, Weir Studio, Young Studio, and Visitor Center on the 68-acre site have already closed for the off-season.
As part of the government shutdown-induced closing, Weir Farm's website will not be updated and, as a result, “may not reflect current conditions,” according to a message on Weir Farm’s website.
There is no set date for when the government shutdown will end.
