Ridgefield Police Capt. Jeff Kreitz will be a special guest on HAN Radio’s Behind the News Friday to talk about how police will be honoring a special member of the department.
Police K-9 Zeus, who retired in May 2014, has a severe degenerative hip disorder and will be euthanized next week. The department has a final ride planned for Zeus on April 15.
Capt. Kreitz, who serves are the department’s public information officer, will discuss Zeus’ career in Ridgefield and the important role that K-9 units play in the department.
Friday’s show will also include a discussion with Wilton Bulletin Assistant Editor Christopher Burns about a state study on racial profiling in traffic stops. Show hosts Kate Czaplinski, Josh Fisher and John Kovach will discuss top stories of the week, across all the Hersam Acorn news sites.
