Connecticut’s first major snowstorm of the season recently dropped between 6, and 12 inches of snow across the state on Friday, January 7.
Accumulations show Waterbury received 12 inches of snow, followed by more than 10 inches in Middletown, and Guilford, according to the National Weather Service.
Most of the rest of the state received between 6, and 9 inches of snow.
Wilton Public Schools had an old-fashioned snow day to the delight of students across the district.
Over the weekend local children took advantage of the wintry weather by going sledding at the G&B Cultural Center, located at 49 New Street in Wilton.
