First selectman's updated hurricane report

Regarding Hurricane Joaquin, First Selectman Bill Brennan, on behalf of the Wilton Emergency Management Team, issued the following updated public safety report as of 3:00 p.m., Oct. 2:

“The town’s Emergency Management Team met this morning to review the latest storm forecasts and expected impact on our area. All town departments have activated their 72/48/24 hour checklist programs to prepare for whatever storm conditions may occur starting late Sunday through Tuesday. All residents are urged to prepare now for a possible serious storm involving strong winds and heavy rain.”
The office of the first selectman  requests  that the public continue to monitor local media storm forecasts for the latest expected weather conditions for the Wilton area.
