The beginning of fall brings two familiar events to Wilton on Sunday, Sept. 30.

The 12th Annual Ambler Farm Day will run from noon to 4, rain or shine.

Just down the road, the Hurlbutt Schoolhouse will have an open house from 1 to 4. Cider and donuts will be served and the community is invited to experience what school was like in Wilton long ago.

At Ambler, the afternoon will feature the return of the pumpkin trebuchet, and many other seasonal activities, such as a hay maze, scarecrow-making, a pumpkin patch, children's crafts, and apple slingshots.

Live music by Bob's Your Uncle, fresh-baked pies and goodies, a garden market, and more complete the day's line-up.

Sponsors are Moments by Andrea Photography, Tall Trees Landscaping and Zemoga.

Set on 22 acres, Ambler Farm is at 257 Hurlbutt Street.

Parking is in the adjacent Ambler Field parking lot, and at the Cannondale train station, with free shuttle service to and from the station and the farm.

Admission is $20 per family, $10 for seniors. All proceeds benefit Ambler Farm. For more details visit amblerfarm.org.
