The Wilton Garden Club last week helped the Norwalk River Watershed Association remove invasive plants from Merwin Meadows. Club member Elizabeth Craig gave a talk to around 35 volunteers on invasive plants found in Connecticut. Joining Ms. Craig, far right, are Craig Skinner  of the association, and Arun Soni, Sarah Reilly, Katie Heath, Catherine Meyer, student volunteers from Builders Beyond Borders. The garden club’s Civics Committee was also busy cleaning up the gardens it is responsible for: Old Town Hall, Horseshoe Pond Park, Town Hall, the train station, the greenhouse at Comstock and the town’s war memorials.
