Volunteers Tom Nixon, Donna Below, Sharon Thawley and Jerry Sprole put donated coats into bags during the 52nd annual Election Day Coat Drive at Wilton Congregational Church on Monday, Nov. 7. 'We expect to fill dozens and dozens and dozens of bags with donations,' said Thawley. In addition to collecting gently used coats, bedding and sleeping bags to donate to Person to Person in Darien, the Open Door Shelter in Norwalk and the Bridgeport Rescue Mission, wish lists for local families provided by Wilton Social Services were also fulfilled during the three-day coat drive that began Sunday. — Kendra Baker photo
