Easter goes Baroque

Members of the Music on the Hill Chamber Chorus — 12 pro voices — will perform works by Bach, Buxtehude, Monteverdi, Charpentier, and more in a celebration of Easter gone Baroque Sunday, April 23, 3 p.m., at Wilton Presbyterian Church, 48 New Canaan Road.

The program includes both familiar and less familiar pieces by Baroque composers  — some performed a capella, some with harpsichord and strings — and will feature varied voicings from duets to the full ensemble. Artistic director Ellen Dickinson conducts.

The musical selections have been chosen to take advantage of the resonant acoustics of the church, a hidden gem of a performance space.

Tickets are available online ($20) or at the door ($25); students are admitted free. Visit musiconthehillCT.org or call 203-529-3133.
