Early readers

Wilton Library’s 1000 Books Before Kindergarten initiative launched this month with more than 50 infants and toddlers signed up. The program promotes early literacy through parents reading to their little ones. Children receive free books, stickers and a certificate whenever goals are reached. The program is ongoing with no end date so children and their parents may join at any time.  The program is sponsored by Cohen and Wolf P.C. and Tiger Tales Publishing.  Joining Elaine Tai-Lauria, Wilton Library’s executive director, left, are Rachel Pencu, Cohen and Wolf, Jeannie Rubsam, Tiger Tale Publishing and Andrea Szabo, head of Children’s Library.
