Connecticut commuters may be able to get to Penn Station

Representatives from Metro-North will offer a report on the Penn Station Access project at the next meeting of the South Western Region Metropolitan Planning Organization (SWRMPO) on Thursday, Feb. 28. The project will ultimately provide direct Metro-North service from Connecticut to Penn Station.

The meeting will take place at 8:15 a.m. at the Norwalk Transit District, 275 Wilson Avenue, Norwalk. The public is welcome to attend. The agenda is online at swrpa.org.

The planning organization is comprised of the chief elected officials of  eight towns including Wilton. As mandated by federal regulations, it is responsible for transportation policy development, planning, and programming of federal transportation funding for the region.
