Code breakers wanted

Wilton Library is joining in Computer Science Education Week with an afternoon of Breaking Code: Create What’s Behind Angry Birds and Other Fun Apps — A One-Hour Entertaining Lesson in Coding, on Wednesday, Dec. 10, from 1 to 6:30 p.m.

In keeping with the library’s STEM initiative promoting Science, Technology, Engineering and Math, four one-hour intervals of coding “lessons” will be offered as follows: 1 to 2; 2:30 to 3:30; 4 to 5 and 5:30 to 6:30. The sessions are for adults and children six years of age and older.

Participants may bring their own devices or choose to use computers provided by the library. When registering, attendees should indicate whether or not they are bringing their own devices.

Whether a person is hard-core into computing or just wants to “peek behind the curtain,” everyone is welcome to see how the Angry Birds app is programmed.
