Lisa Miller, an author and educator, will speak on the latest research on the positive impact that spirituality has in the lives of children and teenagers on Sunday, Nov. 20, at Wilton Congregational Church, 70 Ridgefield Road.
Miller is professor of psychology and education and director of the clinical psychology program at Columbia University. She is also the author of The Spiritual Child: The New Science on Parenting for Health and Lifelong Thriving. Her research has published in JAMA Psychiatry, The American Journal of Psychiatry, and the Journal of the American Academy of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry.
At the church on sunday, she will offer concrete ways in which parents and grandparents can become better nurturers of children’s spirituality and resilience. She will be interviewed at the 10 a.m. worship service and will give a talk at a luncheon from noon to 1:30 at the church.
