Carnival brings out the crowds

Rain may have dampened the opening of the Wilton Spring Spectacular on Friday, April 10, but by the carnival’s close on Sunday, April 12, it was in full swing. The carnival attracted large crowds over the weekend at Miller-Driscoll School.
The Miller-Driscoll PTA was able to raise an estimated $13,000.
The PTA partnered with several community organizations and businesses, with Realty Seven as this year’s lead sponsor. Other sponsors included Kaoud Carpet, Bankwell of Wilton, Halstead Properties, Palladino & Sons Septic, and DaVento Refuse Co. The Wilton Kiwanis Club was the exclusive provider of food and refreshments at the carnival, including hot dogs, hamburgers and fried dough.
All PTA funds raised help provide Miller-Driscoll students with enrichment programs, new library books, fine arts programming, educational workshops, and more. The fund raising also supports teachers and the administration by fulfilling grant requests and providing the school with materials not normally provided to them. These efforts also make possible certain class-wide celebrations to celebrate significant milestones that otherwise might not happen.
