Candace Bushnell to visit library

The latest big-name author slated to appear in Wilton Library’s popular Author Talk series is international best-selling writer Candace Bushnell, whose first book, Sex and the City, was the basis for HBO’s hit series and subsequent movies.
Bushnell will be at Wilton Library on Thursday, July 2 at 7 p.m. to discuss her newest novel, Killing Monica. Admission is free but attendees must register in advance on the library’s website at www.wiltonlibrary.org.
Karen Danvers, program and rentals manager, said in a press release. “Fans of Sex and the City, as well as Lipstick Jungle, are sure to enjoy Candace and her latest book. Killing Monica is smart, funny, and surprising — a real page-turner,” Danvers said.
In Killing Monica, Bushnell spoofs and skewers her way through pop culture, celebrity worship, fame, and even the meaning of life itself.
The novel goes on sale June 23; copies will also be available for sale and signing at the July 2 Author Talk, courtesy of Elm Street Books in New Canaan.
