Cablevision will offer credits to customers across the region who lost television, Internet and phone service for several hours on Sunday, Aug. 18. The company is communicating directly with customers about the credits, which are based on subscribers’ level of services.

The move was applauded by state Senator Toni Boucher (R-26) and Rep. Gail Lavielle (R-143).

“We appreciate Cablevision’s proactive efforts in making these credits available to area residents,” Ms. Boucher said.

“This helpful step will reimburse customers for the services that were lost,” Ms. Lavielle said. “We thank Cablevision for taking this step.”

Both legislators said they had heard from many constituents who wanted a convenient way to get credit.
