Wilton CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) held its 2016 annual membership meeting last week at the newly refurbished Comstock Community Center. The agenda featured presentations by board members which covered a review of 2015 CERT deployments, plans to enhance emergency response, radio communications techniques, and personnel safety issues.

A highlight was member inspection of a new space in Comstock dedicated to CERT. This space will be used for equipment storage and team meetings and will also be the CERT office during sheltering operations. The business meeting was followed by hands-on training in the life-saving skills of CPR, AED, and stroke response.
