The owner of Luc’s Café, the French Bistro on Big Shop Lane in Ridgefield, is opening a new restaurant in the former Little Pub restaurant space on the corner of Route 7 and Branchville Road, according to the property’s landlord.
Herve Aussavis plans to open a restaurant called Marc’s Place, according to landlord Joseph Chelednik.
A job listing for Marc’s Place posted on Linkedin says the restaurant is planning to open “before summer,” and describes the business as a bistro and gastro pub open 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
“Herve ... took over the space the day after The Little Pub closed,” said Chelednik.
Chelednik said he received several offers from other restaurant owners for the space. He described Aussavis as “a true professional with 18 years in Ridgefield with Luc’s Café.”
“We could not be happier to have a such a reputable person take over our property,” he added.
The Ridgefield Little Pub closed up shop at the end of March, after a decade at the location. The restaurant also has locations in Wilton, Greenwich, Fairfield and Old Saybrook.
