Benefit for nurse agency patients

Wilton’s Visiting Nurse & Hospice of Fairfield County is planning a Seaside Soirée benefit to be held Sunday evening, April 27, at the waterfront home of Ann Sheffer and Bill Scheffler at Stony Point in Westport from 5:30 until 7:30. The event will raise money to benefit the nonprofit agency’s patients in need and feature cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, a swinging performance by jazz musician, Chris Coogan, a silent auction and a giving tree.

The auction will include such valuable prizes as tickets to attend the Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, tickets to see the New York Yankees play the Boston Red Sox, an outing on Long Island Sound on board the Spirit of America, cooking classes at the Culinary Institute of America, tickets to a New England Patriots football game, and more.

Event sponsors to date include Carol and George Bauer, Sara and Dave Hunt, Day Pitney LLP, Lincoln Financial Group, Resnick Investment Advisors, and Hoyt Funeral Home and Cremation Services.

Members of the volunteer benefit committee are Carol Bauer, Donna Conway, Lila Griswold, Judy Higby, Janet Lebovitz, Ellen Lewis, Carlyn Tiefenthaler and Karen Wackerman.

Corporate and individual sponsorship opportunities are still available. For tickets or more information, call 203-834-6341, ext. 304 or register online at visitingnurse.net.
