Despite inclement weather, a large number of people came out to attend the Wilton Arts Council’s reception for the Focus ’13 photography exhibition at Wilton Library on Friday, April 12. They enjoyed music by The Alumni Swing Band as well as refreshments while viewing the exhibition.

An impressive collection of 156 photographs from photographers will be on view at the library through April 29. Photographs are for sale and a percentage of the proceeds will benefit Wilton Library.

The overall winner for Best of Show went to Chris Wisker of Greenwich, for his photo “Tree Hand.”

Winners in the adult division were:

• First place — Sandy Gennrich of Stamford for “Old Farm;”

• Second place — Anthony T. Festa of Norwalk for “Sunrise Under the Angelin’s Fishing Pier;”

• Third place — Chris Wisker for “Sand Ripples;”

• Fourth place — Lori Rha of Stamford for “Dancing Ladies;”

• Fifth place — Robert Wachtell of Weston for “Vermont.”

Honorable Mentions in the adult division went to Paul Berger of Newtown for “Framework, Flag, and Shadow,” Lisa Wren Eckman of Redding for “Morning Pearls,” Sandy Gennrich of Stamford for “Freedom,” Michael Isaac of Norwalk for “Pacific Grove Sunrise,” Arpad Krizsan of Westport, for “On My!,” Chan-Kook Rha of Stamford for “Potter,” Andy Romer of Wilton for “The End of the World” and Charlie Romer of Wilton for “Night Time.”

In the high school division:

• First place — Edison Matute of Danbury for “On Track;”

• Second place — Christie Santoro of Ridgefield for “Anguilla;”

• Third place — Julia Muller of Weston for “Archway Nearing Sunset.”

Honorable mentions went to Justin Hawk of Wilton for “Morning Fog” and Madeline Mauboussin  of Darien for “Kaleidoscope.”

Winners in the Len Freas Youth Division for children through eighth grade were:

• First place — Katie Sailer of New Canaan for “Crayons;”

• Second place — Isabella Jones of  Wilton for “Indigo;”

• Third place — Mary Emerson of Wilton for “Beach.”

Honorable mentions also were awarded to Annie Beneventano of Wilton for “Ferris Wheel,”  Maggie Breault of Sandy Hook for “Barn Door” and “Witch’s Broom,” Isabella Jones for “Beach Grass” and Kyle Rubin of Wilton for “Sunburst.”
