Animals in Distress joins in Clear the Shelters Day
Animals in Distress, next to the town hall annex at 238 Danbury Road, will join in Clear the Shelters Day on July 23. This is a nationwide, pet-adoption initiative.
Animals in Distress is a no-kill cat shelter. It will be open Saturday from 1 to 5.
The shelter has photos of its cats and kittens for adoption on its Facebook page, and is offering reduced fees: $25 for adult cats, $100 for kittens.
Ellie has patiently been waiting more than two years for a real loving home.
Ten-year-old Bobbi came to the shelter when her owner died. She would probably be happiest in a quiet adult home.
To be considered for a same-day adoption, fill out and submit an online application form: http://animals-in-distress.com/pre-adoption-application. Otherwise, visit the shelter on Saturday and get to know some of the lovely cats there.
