Ambler Farm will present the Underground Railroad Educational Program for Adults on Saturday, May 2, from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m.
There are still spots available for this educational program geared toward adults and adapted from Ambler Farm’s fifth-grade program. Participants will experience the travels of an 1850s runaway slave as they move from safe house to safe house with a conductor and meet Harriett Tubman, William Wakeman, a sheriff and bounty hunter.
Following the simulation, a reception in the Carriage Barn will provide an opportunity for reflection and discussion. The moving experience has some moments of suspense and surprise. It is not recommended for people with heart or mobility problems. Participants should dress for the outdoors.
The cost is $40/member; $45/non-member. Click here to register.
