This fall, shoppers may run into a small cluster of students in Wilton Center eagerly asking questions in French.

These are students of Franc-O-Fun French for Children participating in a class called “Allons en Ville.” They will learn French vocabulary, phrases and questions in preparation for their excursion into downtown Wilton.

The children, ages 6–9, will meet and walk to designated sites including the Toy Chest, Wilton Library, the Village Market and Sweet Pierre’s. The fall session will conclude with a Christmas outing to Bon Appétit.

The students will also work on writing their own books about designing a home, as well as a project creating first aid kits for their families, all in French.

Classes begin the week of Sept. 16 and are held at Hope Church, 240 Wolfpit Road.
