Adventurers examine water issues

Jon Bowermaster has traveled the world and he will tell tales of his adventures at Wilton Library on Thursday, Sept. 19, 7 to 8:30 p.m.

Mr. Bowermaster spent 25 years studying the relationship between man and nature for the National Geographic Society. His area of specialty was water issues.

Over the course of 10 years, for a project called Oceans 8, he and his teams traveled to every continent by sea kayak, reporting on environmental issues. More recently, his work has taken him to such diverse destinations as Antarctica, the Galapagos, southern Louisiana and the Hudson River Valley where he has taken on fracking issues.

Fellow adventurer Daryl Hawk will interview Mr. Bower during his library appearance. The free program is co-sponsored by Wilton Go Green and Wilton LIbrary.

Registration is recommended: 203-762-3950, ext. 213.
