Cindy Hebert Sinor, an artist from Wilton, has created a portrait of Ellie, one of the feline residents at Animals In Distress. The drawing, created in colored pencil, will be given as a gift to the family that adopts Ellie.
In addition to the gift of the portrait, Ellie’s adoption fee will be covered by one of its supporters, according to a press release from Animals in Distress.
Ellie has been at the shelter, which is on the town hall campus on Danbury Road, for more than two years. “She’s not just a pretty face but a real life who needs a home,” Sinor said.
Anyone interested in adopting Ellie or one of the other cats at Animals in Distress may email kittiesforkeeps@gmail.com.
