ANSONIA \u2014 One week after she was found slain and her 1-year-old daughter missing, funeral services have been announced for Christine Marie Holloway. Calling hours will be held for the 43-year-old from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Parente-Lauro Funeral Home, 559 Washington Ave. in Bridgeport. The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Andrew's Church, 435 Anton St. in Bridgeport with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Trumbull. The case began with a call for a welfare check at her Myrtle Avenue home around 1 p.m. last Monday after she didn\u2019t show up to work. Ansonia police responded and didn\u2019t get an answer at the door. A second call for a welfare check came around 7:30 p.m. When police officers checked the exterior of the home, officers made the decision to force entry. In the home, police found Holloway\u2019s body. She had been beaten to death. Police also learned that her 1-year-old daughter, Vanessa Morales, should have been at the home, but were unable to find her. Holloway\u2019s slaying and the disappearance launched an investigation by more than 80 law enforcement personnel that includes the FBI, State Police and local police departments. On Sunday, Ansonia police said there were no major developments in the search for the child. According to her death notice, Holloway was the beloved daughter, sister, friend, and mother of her only child, Vanessa Morales. \u201cBeing the eldest child of five, she developed a nurturing and loving personality by taking care of her younger siblings\u201d her obituary reads. \u201cChristine was the first person in her family to graduate from college with a bachelor's degree in psychology. As a day care educator, she loved working with children, especially with the babies. Holloway is survived by her daughter Vanessa Morales, of Ansonia; her mother Deborah Holloway, of Bridgeport; her father Terry Holloway and his wife, Liz Holloway of Burkeville, Texas;, her siblings, John Holloway, of Bridgeport; Steven Holloway and girlfriend, Jodi Jacobellis of Shelton; Tracey Holloway, of Bridgeport; Brian Holloway and fianc\u00e9e, Danielle McCormack, of Selden, N.Y.; family friend, Hector Gonzale, of Bridgeport; and half-brother, Steve Drumm and his wife, LeAnn Drumm of Spurger, Texas. Her nephew, Dominic Holloway, of Seymour; and her niece, Serena Holloway of Bridgeport. She is also survived by her maternal grandmother, Muriel "Grammy" Rodonski, of Bridgeport; her uncles; Michael Rodonski, of Bridgeport; Kenneth Rodonski and wife, Colleen, of Clarksville, Arkansas; Philip Rodonski and wife, Sharon, of Bridgeport; and her aunt, Anna Rodonski, and partner Kathleen Steahle, of Guilford. She is also survived by her cousin, Joseph Rodonski,of Bridgeport, who is currently serving with the U.S. Army. As well as many other aunts, uncles, cousins, and family friends. She was predeceased by her maternal grandfather, Philip "Papa" Rodonski, and her aunt, Catherine Rodonski.
